Risk Studies (Risk Mitigation Studies)
Risk can be defined as the potential for harm or loss to occur due to the interactions between
humans and the environment. There are many ways in which risk can be viewed however. With
our previous experience in change over time risk studies the two most used frameworks are
Pelling's model and The pressure and release model.

Both these solid models are the basis of our risk analysis recognizing that risk is about
managing the interaction between human factors and the environment.(including flood risk)
